whiteracer 258
1st pic - Is of the 2ft tubular heater 80watt with the metal guard £30 off ebay! 2nd pic- Is to give you a rough idea of the size of the kennel 3rd pic- Is the frost stat (cheers Buster for the advice) i have wired up! As the pics show i have set up a 2ft heater with a frost stat that is set to come on at "0" i use straw bedding aswell for extra warmth, the heater is only 80watt but does make a differance,as you walk in the garage in the morning its pretty cold yet put your hand inside the kennel and its warm ISH, the dog must be comfortable in there as he takes awhile to get out from his warm bed in the cold morning, never had a problem with using straw and the heater as to be honest the heater doesnt get that hot and plus it has a guard over it anyway! hope this helps,i am still learning myself but learning alot from reading threads on this site and getting advice from the "veterans"

TOMO 30,514
Yeh I tried one of them tube heaters a few years back,,, you had to touch it to feel any heat,,, I honestly thought it was useless ,, I think a regular light bulb would be as good, put your hand 3 foot away from a heat lamp, and you can feel warmth,,,, put your hand 6 inches away from the tube heater ,,,,,,,,,, nothing. Waste of money
